While Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever, we find that little else in this life does not change. We take solace in an unchanging God in an ever changing world.
And in that, our vision also grows and changes, and begins to take new shape. Our mission statement, “We are called out from being a hurting people to being a healing people” has begun a process to make us look less like a formal church organization, and more into a living organism, a body of believers, breathing and living the Word of God, the Mission of Jesus, in a community of faith.
We have an opportunity to learn to Love People as God loves them. We get to allow the Spirit of Christ to work in us and through us to Liberate People from bondage and addiction. We have a chance to Lead People through discipleship. And we want to Launch People, helping them to find their place in the Body of Christ, into the ministry that God has prepared for them.
Love, Liberate, Lead, and Launch; this is how we as Christians can stop hurting ourselves and others, and start becoming healed and healing others. That is our commission; that is our calling in Red Bluff.
